FOOD PARADOX Photo exhibition by Pablo Albarenga

Step into the lens of documentary photographer and visual storyteller Pablo Albarenga with FOOD PARADOX, a thought-provoking photo exhibition.

From December 15 to 19, Stumptown will host this compelling exploration of the paradoxes within our food systems, centering on three themes: açaí, the Amazonian superfood; rice, a dietary staple across cultures, including Japan; and cattle farming.

ドキュメンタリー写真家、そしてビジュアル・ストーリーテラーであるパブロ・アルバレンガ氏による「FOOD PARADOX（食のパラドック）」と題した写真展。

スーパーフードと話題のブラジル・アマゾンを原産とする食材「アサイー」、日本をはじめ多くの国で主食とされる「お米」そして「畜牛」をテーマに、スタンプタウンにて12月15日から19日まで写真展を開催。

写真展と共に、12月15日に開催されるロビーでのトークショーや、12月19日にノーマ京都のレストランからの食品廃棄物をアップサイクルした藍染ワークショップも合わせてお楽しみください。

소개 Pablo Albarenga

Pablo Albarenga is a documentary photographer and visual storyteller based between São Paulo, Brazil, and Montevideo, Uruguay. His work focuses on social and environmental justice, science, and climate change. Albarenga is a National Geographic Explorer, has been a multiple beneficiary of the Pulitzer Center, and was selected in 2020 as the Photographer Of The Year by the Sony World Photography Awards. His work has been featured worldwide in print and online publications, including National Geographic, The Washington Post Magazine, The Guardian, 6 Mois, and El País. He also collaborates with the Pulitzer Center Education team and National Geographic Learning to spread his topics to wider audiences.
