Sounds of STMS

  • 7:30 pm - 11:30 pm | Friday January 09, 2026
  • The Lobby | Ace Hotel Toronto
  • 51 Camden St.

Stms (pronounced “Stems”) is a platform showcasing DJs, music producers, & remix culture through events in Toronto. Launched in 2023 by organizer Tdesu, Stms has hosted over 20 events featuring some of Canada’s top sound selectors and international guests from New York, Antwerp, Melbourne, and more.

“Sound of Stms” invites a different guest DJ every Friday alongside Tdesu—for a curated evening of soulful sonics to Ace Hotel in The Lobby ranging from Alté, global rhythms, R&B, jazz, deep grooves, edits/remixes, and beyond.

Guest DJ Killa Kels

Killa Kels is a (12-year+) accomplished open-format DJ, event curator, mentor, and mother from Toronto, Canada. Immersing herself in the industry through careful research and mentorship, she was able to quickly rise to the top, spinning the hottest events and working with an established roster of clientele including Puma, Ciroc, Foot Locker, Lululemon, MLSE, and much more. Most notably, she was the official Jurassic Park DJ for the Toronto Raptors’ first NBA Championship in 2019 – a proud moment for her and her city.

Kels’ versatile sound and restless feet have brought her across the globe for concerts, festivals, and brand activations. Since the start of her career, her name drop has echoed through venues across Canada and major international cities like Los Angeles, Atlanta, Boston, Rotterdam (Netherlands), and Budapest (Hungary). Her confidence and personal style has led her, naturally, into the influencer/model role. She has landed several long-term brand ambassadorships, led various campaigns, and has been featured in fashion and culture editorials such as HYPEBEAST & Complex.

Resident DJ Tdesu

Japanese-Canadian DJ & music producer Tdesu, is internationally known for his genre-defying remixes, blending global and club rhythms with soulful sounds. At 1 million+ streams and features on platforms such as Boiler Room, Soulection, Rinse FM, and Elevator music, he is steadily rising as one of the most exciting emerging producers from SoundCloud. Across 9 years djing & 12 years producing music, he has performed across the US, CDMX, Costa Rica, and Canada. Always reading the room, his sets seamlessly blend elements of electronic, R&B, hip hop, jazz, soul and more into an unforgettable sonic experience on the dance floor. In 2025 he completed his 4th Canada tour, debuting in Chicago, and working with brands such as adidas, SSENSE, FIFA, and Wales Bonner.
