DESCRIPTION:Join us for a hands-on workshop where you’ll create your own drawstring pouch using vintage kimono fabric. \nChoose your favorite combination from a selection of pre-sewn pouch bodies and drawstrings\, then finish your piece by hand-sewing an original iro patch. Each fabric features its own unique colors and patterns\, making every pouch one of a kind. \nThe pouch body is prepared in advance\, so no sewing experience is necessary. Simply thread the drawstring\, sew on your chosen patch\, and take home a unique piece made by you. \nEnjoy a relaxing afternoon exploring the beauty of vintage kimono textiles through a simple and creative making experience. \n  \nヴィンテージの着物生地を使って、自分だけのオリジナル巾着をつくるワークショップです。 \n色や柄の異なる一点ものの巾着本体と紐の中から、お好きな組み合わせを選んでいただきます。さらに、iroオリジナルの手縫いワッペンもお好きなデザインをセレクト。 \n巾着本体と紐はあらかじめミシンで仕立ててあるので、裁縫が初めての方でも安心してご参加いただけます。 \n最後に、ご自身で紐を通し、選んだワッペンをひと針ひと針手縫いして仕上げます。完成した巾着は、世界にひとつだけの特別なアイテム。 \nヴィンテージ着物ならではの風合いや色合わせを楽しみながら、ものづくりの時間をお過ごしください。 \n  \nDATE : Saturday September 19\, Sunday September 20 \nTIME : ①11:00am – 12:30pm \n               ②2:00pm – 3:30pm \n               ③4:30pm – 6:00pm \nFEE : 3\,500JPY \n  \niro \nConcept of iro \nFast fashion culture has led use astray and to throw away garments of use of a season. \nThe materials of old hold fast and deserve more life so my wish is to keep them alive for the next person to adorn it. \nWhenever I find a neglected kimono\, it calls out to me\, wishing for a new life. \nWhere did you come from? What is your story?  \nThis is what I seek to discover and to pass on. \nI want that living being inside that garment to find another happy life. \nWhen I pick up my sleeping kimono\, I feel warm and receive something like a message. \nEverything has value – even items old and forgotten. \nOne person’s garbage may be another person’s treasure. 　 \nMy shop is a mobile kimono clinic that strives to save those dilapidated kimono from rot and destruction.  \nI will travel across Japan with kimono in tow and seek out new ones. \nMy dream is to spread kimono culture and to see the smiles on the faces of the customers \nwho decide to dress themselves with history\, color and life of this ancient tradition. \n  \n捨てるという事が簡単になった今の時代に、捨てずにもう一度光を与え、次の方へとバトンを渡したい。 \n眠っていた着物を手にしたとき、どこか温かく、そして何かメッセージのようなものを受け取った気持ちになる。 \nどのようにして今に存在し、どのように旅をしてきたのか。 \n所々にシミやかすれた印象はあっても、でもそこには確かに[誰かのモノ]であった形跡がある。 \n私はそういった存在感を大切にしたい。 \n古いものから新しい価値を生み出し、今あるものと人とを繋ぐことで、きっとそれはだれかのきっかけとなり宝物になるかもしれない。 \nこれは着物の行き先を示す移動型のお店。 \nキャンピングカーに着物を積んで日本中を旅します。 \n私達のこの夢がいつか大きな輪となって、少しでも着物の未来を支え、同時にたくさんの笑顔の花が咲きますように。
