Coji Cose

Handpan Artist.Exploring a unique musical world centered on the one-of-a-kind tones of the handpan, he fuses ethnic instruments with electronic elements to create his own distinctive sound.

His work spans a wide range of styles, from sound healing to dance music, through both composition and live performance.

Based in Kyoto, he runs the handpan community studio TAMARU. What began as a small personal atelier has grown into Japan’s most diverse handpan hub, where people can experience a wide variety of instruments—from beginner workshops to professional player gatherings—contributing greatly to the development of the handpan scene.

唯一無二の音色を持つハンドパンをメインに、民族楽器や電子機器を融合させた独自の音楽を探求。

サウンドヒーリングからダンスミュージックまで、幅広いジャンルを創作・演奏活動を展開している。

京都市でハンドパンコミュニティスタジオ「TAMARU」を運営。

個人アトリエから始まったスタジオは、日本で最も多様なハンドパンに触れられる拠点へと成長し、初心者体験会からプロ奏者の交流まで、ハンドパンシーンの発展に寄与している。

Began studying classical music and piano at the age of five, and started composing and arranging from an early age. At 15, became an apprentice to a composer and studied classical music theory and composition.

Currently performs and composes across a wide range of genres, including jazz, classical, Latin, and world music.

5歳よりクラシック音楽とピアノに触れ、幼少の頃から作曲や編曲を行う。

15歳で作曲家に弟子入りし、クラシックの音楽理論や作曲法を学ぶ。

現在ではジャズやクラシック、ラテン、民族音楽等の様々な音楽の演奏や作曲などを行う。

Lucas Benjamin Lucas Benjamin is an Amsterdam-based DJ, promoter and true musicologist. He’s part of the infamous Ghetto Funk Collective, started his own record label in 2017 called Wicked Wax, co-founded a music platform during Covid named Steppin’ Into Tomorrow and organized plenty of club nights, live concerts, documentary screenings & gives music lectures and DJ classes.
